4 Random Thoughts, 1 Tool, and 1 Quote

Hey everyone, can you believe it’s already December? Goodness, what a year its been. For many, the changes have been drastic and difficult, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, as shown by this week’s guest Joshua Fisher, who after appearing as part of the No SE Left Behind initiative, has since become a Senior Sales Engineer at Varonis.

It’s always so great to hear about people persevering through adversity through this pandemic (or otherwise) and making it out better on the other side. This week’s 4/1/1 is mostly around this idea.

4 Random Thoughts From Me:

1- Just keep swimming. Joshua talks about this on the show, but in order to persevere through anything, no matter how difficult the challenge, the best thing to do is to put one foot in front of the other (or some equally effective motion if swimming) and you’ll make it.

2- Take chances. It can be a very nerve-wracking move to change careers and/or industries, but if humans have shown to be anything, it’s adaptable. Trust yourself and if more proof points are pointing towards a switch than not, then go for it!

3- Maintaining normalcy during these times hasn’t been the easiest thing to do, but it can make a big difference to your day if you start it as if you had to leave the house versus rolling out of bed for your first call. Just as Josh did for his interview, get yourself ready to take on the day and you will.

4- Hope you like holiday music. This has nothing to do with the show but harkening back to the first sentence of this message, it’s already December! Think about how quickly the last 9 months have gone and start reflecting on both what you accomplished and will like to accomplish in the next 9 months.
