Opportunity comes for those who work for it. Not for those who wait for it. If my conversation with Sly proves anything, it is that we cannot just sit around and wait for something good to happen. We have to go out there and make it so.
Sly was a SE at some point in his career, and he noticed there is a shortage of educational videos that he can share with his customers. Instead of waiting around or complaining about it, he went and created his own videos. They were not perfect by any means, but it got the job done and he got better as he posted more videos. This opened up opportunities in other areas that he took. He describes what he did very well in the interview. Check it out.
In this show we will discuss:
Why Sly started his own YouTube Channel and what could go wrong
How YouTube helped his career progress
How he marketed his videos
Being a Leader
How Sales Engineers can work better with Marketing.
