#59 Sales Engineers will be Uncomfortable

In this show we will discuss:

There are many different situations where we, as Sales Engineers, will be uncomfortable while performing our day to day duties, and if you don’t listen or read anything else, the point of this show is just to show that it is ok. Here are some situations where you might find yourself in some discomfort:

• Reaching out to customers to set up meetings,
• Informing customer they are wrong
• Working with customers who know more than you
• Informing Account Managers that are wrong. This might actually be fun, depending on the situation
• Asking something of a customer in return for a request that they made of you.
• Performing a demonstration
• Being bashed by customers about how crappy your product is
• Meeting with a gatekeepers
• Urgent calls from customers
• Asking other people for help. Some are very good, some are not so good.
