So You’ve Just Joined the Forum, Now What?

Here are some tips for getting started:

• Fill in your profile – If you’re here to network, gain insight, or market yourself to potential employers,  people are going to want to know more about you. We’ve got the “About Me” in your profiles where you can tell others who you are and what you’re here for (general info about you). You can copy that off of LinkedIn.  If you do have your own blog or general site, include that in the appropriate section

• Upload your own image. People like talking to people, and not the Matrix screen saver, no matter how cool that is. As you post more comments, write more blogs, and articles, you will get more and more recognized, and people will know you better. 

• Introduce yourself to the community. Sales Engineers are a very tight nit but small community. We love it when we have someone else join the SE Nation and is interested in learning or helping others learn. So introduce yourself in the New Member Intro category.

Now that you’re here, check out the website. There is a ton of information here, through blog posts, podcasts, and youtube videos.
