#113 Becoming a Technology Evangelist

If you’re good at your job, you get to write your own ticket. Have you heard of that? Well, we’ve got proof. Mark Green discusses how he got to become a Technology Evangelist, why, and what that actually is.

So what is a technology evangelist? Well, there is no set definition, and each company can define its own job description. For Mark, it means that he is no longer focuses on only 1 product, but he has a holistic view of all of his organization’s portfolio, how they work together and how they can solve their customer’s problem as a whole.

Instead of being an overlay specialist, he’s now an overlay generalist where he gets called by specialists due to his holistic view.

But how did Mark even get there? Other than he’s good at his job, one of the things that Mark excels at is Social Selling.

Mark goes ahead and defines social selling in the show, and how he used it to highlight the products that he sells and their strengths.
