4 Random Thoughts, 1 Tool, and 1 Quote

Some see sales engineering as a stepping stone. Others see it as a pitstop on their way to bigger and better things. Many Sales Engineers see their role as a vocation. They love what they do, and although they have many opportunities to move up or sideways, they choose to stay in their role. Our guest this week is one of them.

Now one thing to avoid in order to have a long and prosperous career is checking out. Here are my thoughts about how you can avoid it.

Let’s dig into this a bit with the 4/1/1

4 Random Thoughts From Me:

1- Sales Engineering is always changing, either through the process or through technology that a person can spend a lifetime enjoying this role.

2- the more we learn, the more questions we have.

3- What works for one organization doesn’t always work with others

4- Avoid checking out of your current jobs. Even if you don’t like it, find something you like about it and try to enhance that.

1 Tool:

Snipd– Podcasting tool. Shout out to Jason E. Zeikowitz who told me about this tool. I’ve used Podcast Addict in the past, then for technical reasons moved to Google Podcast Player, but since Jason introduced me to Sniped, and even though I don’t use all the available features, I am hooked on it.
