4 Random Thoughts, 1 Tool, and 1 Quote

The world we live in is different from the world my parents lived in. When they were young, if they move from one country to another, that usually means cutting ties with family and friends. Only seeing them once a year, if that, when you go home to visit.

Now it’s easier than ever, and yet it still feels hard. I can chat with friends and family on WhatsApp or messenger. I can jump on zoom at any point of the day. Still, it’s not like talking to family face to face.

My guest this week is Kenneth Kutyn made the decision to move countries, several times, to find the job he wants and the lifestyle that his family needs.

It takes great confidence to do what Ken did. Many of us suffer from imposter syndrome, especially those aspiring to be SEs. We think that we don’t have the technical know-how, the customer experience, the public speaking experience.

Here’s a video I created to discuss how we can overcome that.

Let’s dig into this a bit with the 4/1/1

4 Random Thoughts From Me:

1- It takes sacrifice to reach our goals.

2- That being said, know your priorities to make sure you’re not sacrificing what’s most important to you.

3- To overcome imposter syndrome, think of your accomplishments and achievements so far. Sometimes we forget all the good things we’ve done in favor of the bad things.

4- If you cannot remember the good things, have someone remind you.

1 Tool:

Huntr.co, no more spreadsheets, no more remembering job. This is a CRM for jobs where you can save jobs, apply, and then track jobs, action items, and everything else related to jobs.

I’m not affiliated with this organization, but it looks cool to me and I want to share it.
