4 Random Thoughts, 1 Tool, and 1 Quote

This week is we bring up the term SDR quite a bit. It’s not focused on SDR, but we do discuss it more than usual. First on the podcast with Sarah Halley, second in my YouTube video

Let’s dig into this a bit with the 4/1/1

4 Random Thoughts From Me:

1- Any job can teach us a lot. Even if the job is not prestigious, even if it’s not fun, and even if we think it’s beneath us, there is still so much we can learn from it.

2- SDR is not the perfect stepping stone into sales engineering, but it doesn’t mean that there aren’t any transferable skills or that it’s not doable. Sarah, our guest came from an SDR background

3- Word matter. As sales engineers, every word we choose to say or not say has an effect on an opportunity.

4- Don’t let things get out of hand before you ask for help. Build your community, be there for others, and allow others to be there for you.

1 Tool:

I had the pleasure of talking to Aaron Moncur on his podcast. We talked Sales Engineering and the soft skills that any engineer can have.
