4 Random Thoughts, 1 Tool, and 1 Quote

This week’s podcast brought the duo from the Sales Excellence Podcast, Tim Brömme and Jan-Erik Jank to talk about podcasting, what they love about it, and what they want to improve upon.

Listen to Tim and Jan-Erik’s episode here.

There were a lot of great takeaways from this show, beyond the lessons learned with respect to podcasting, here are some others that come to mind.

4 Random Thoughts From Me:

1- There’s always something you miss the first time around. Whether it the content of a podcast, a show, a book, or any sort of media, it always seems to be that reviewing something you’ve already seen will allow you to get more out of it the second time around.  Whether it be by viewing it with a new perspective or just picking up on something you missed the first time, it never hurts to review what you’ve already experienced to experience it in a whole new way.

2- Mark Twain once said that there is no such thing as an original idea.  What this means is that if you think something already exists and are afraid to do something similar, who cares, do it anyways, make it your own, and give credit where credit is due.

3- You won’t know until you try. There are a lot of mental blockers that people put up that prevent them from doing things.  If you’re ever unsure about something, try it, then you’ll really know how it’ll end up.

4- Work can be fun! I hope a lot of you already live this, but it’s always good to be reminded that work when you’re doing what you enjoy, surrounded by great people, it doesn’t feel like work, and is always something to strive towards.
